BSW: Tri-West enters top 20 of state poll

The Sagamore
Conference is boasting a new state power. Tri-West has cracked the top 20 in
the latest statewide poll of swimming powers. Here is a look at the complete
poll.

W: Sagamore schools have fine day in regional competition

The Sagamore
Conference had a very successful day in regional competition. All eight schools
advanced at least one wrestler to semi-state action next week. Along the way,
three Sagamore grapplers claimed regional titles.

 

The leading
squads were Crawfordsville, Lebanon, and Danville. Each of those teams advanced
five wrestlers to the next round. Crawfordsville and Danville each had one
individual regional champion.

 

Southmont
was next in line, advancing three wrestlers to next week. Tri-West and
Frankfort each had two make it through. Finally, Western Boone and North
Montgomery each advanced one wrestler with Western Boone claiming one
weightclass title.

 

One of the more exciting bouts featured Ryan
Bean of Crawfordsville at 103 lbs. There are video highlights of Bean in action
